Boating through the River Walk is a popular activity year-round. It's a relaxing way to enjoy the water, the architecture and the landscaping. You'll also find plenty of shopping at RiverCenter, a large indoor shopping mall along the River Walk.


The Alamo in San Antonio
The Alamo

One of the most frequented San Antonio Texas points of interest is the Alamo. In fact, the Alamo is one of the most visited historical sites in the United States.

The world famous Alamo is right around the corner from the River Walk. You'll see hundreds of artifacts and antiques on display that show what life was like during the siege. They also have a gift shop with souvenirs on the Alamo grounds. Visitors can stroll around the shaded grounds and absorb the history of the Alamo. There's a nice shaded park in front of the Alamo in case you are looking for a place to stop and rest or take pictures.


San Antonio Visitor's Center

Across the street from the Alamo, you'll find the Visitor's Information Center with free brochures and advice on things to do in San Antonio. The City Tours office, which provides guided tours and free information about the San Antonio area, is also nearby.
